Kyrgyzstan

You’ll find heaps of Central Asia’s colourful culture in Kyrgyzstan, along with landscapes not seen anywhere else. Kyrgyzstan is mostly dominated by impressive mountains, affording views and activities not found anywhere else. Camping, hiking and horseback riding are some of the best things you can do on your active honeymoon. The most famous and popular places to visit are Lake Issyk-Kul, Karakol, and Ala-Archa Canyon.

Honeymoon Tips:

The capital city is Bishkek, and the currency is som.

You need a visa to travel there which can be obtained from their embassy, and is usually given for a period of 30 days.

May to June can be cold and mountains snowy, while end of June to end of August can be quite hot in places like Fergana Valley. The best month to visit for weather and scenery is September.

You may not be able to travel directly from London to Bishkek international airport – please check with your travel agent whether you’ll need any additional visas for stopovers on your journey there and back.
