Home of the Maxwell family and considered to be one of the most impressive Edwardian country houses in Scotland, Pollok House offers serenity and peace just 3 miles south of Glasgow city centre. Remarkable architecture, lavish furnishings and world-famous art collection with masterpieces by El Greco, Murillo and Blake are all a part of the breathtaking surroundings within Pollok House.
The stunning interiors and wonderfully manicured gardens combine to offer a perfect location for religious, civil or humanist ceremonies.
Within the house, ceremonies can be held in the Pavilion Library, framed by majestic columns and decorated by some of Pollok's most treasured paintings. The Steinway concert grand piano is also located in the library and can be played to welcome the bride down the aisle or entertain guests.
French doors lead from the library on to the Parterre Garden. This elaborately designed garden is an ideal backdrop for photographs, celebratory drinks or simply a relaxing stroll before dinner.
Marquees can be erected on the south lawn for larger wedding receptions, with Pollok House as a spectacular backdrop.
