Cassandra Lane is a portrait and wedding photographer, originally from the West Country, now living in Manchester. She studied Photographic Arts at the University of Westminster and gained a 1st class degree before setting up Cassandra Lane Photography in 2011.
"I describe my style as alternative wedding photography because my shots are joyful, colourful and bold as well as being a little bit quirky. My approach on a wedding day is relaxed and informal as I want you to feel comfortable with my presence, as if I was just another guest. Even if you are camera shy, you can have beautiful, natural wedding photographs that illustrate what a brilliant time you had. I enjoy weddings because I find people so interesting and you can often find me chatting with guests or on the dance floor with the bridesmaids as I’m snapping away."
Her wedding photography work has been featured in some of the UK’s most popular publications and wedding blogs such as Rock My Wedding, Love My Dress, Rock n Roll Bride & Wedding Ideas Magazine.

Cass was exactly what we were looking for in a wedding photographer - fun, relaxed and obviously very talented. We didn't have a traditional wedding and Cass fitted in beautifully with that - she captured our party perfectly and we are so pleased with the results; we can't speak more highly of Cass, or her work. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending her (in fact already I have - but she's booked up, so get in quick!).

Cassandra Lane is amazing!
If you are thinking of booking Cass for your wedding photographer, do it!
She was our wedding photographer & she was simply fantastic - funny, warm & expertly handled 65 inebriated guests! Her photos are so lovely, better than I could've ever hoped & perfectly capture the happiest day of our lives.
Thank you so much Cass! Jane & John. X x

When we were looking for a photographer, Casandra Lane was one of the first names that popped up. We fell in love with her style of photography instantly and it was exactly what we wanted. I contacted Cass and from there on in it was easy. She came to our house to meet with us and over a brew just discuss what we wanted on the day. The wedding day was just incredible and the pictures that Cass got of us as a family were just beautiful. Especially the ones of our daughter, who was our flower girl. The best photos i think are always of people when they don't know their photo is being taken and this is evident in Cass's style. Stunning day, stunning photography - perfect package!

My husband and I got engaged in May 2015 and when we began planning our wedding I immediately thought of Cass to be the wedding photographer. I had seen Cass work at a friend’s wedding and she’d captured their day so perfectly that I knew she was the right choice for us.
We couldn’t be happier with the service we have received from Cass; she has been phenomenal. Our first meeting with her in Manchester was very informal and relaxed and she provided us with some great advice and even brought samples of photographs from my friend’s wedding, illustrating the personal connection she develops with the people she works with.
On the day itself, Cass arrived early to photograph the wedding preparations. She was so sociable and really helped to create a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. It was a great start to a wonderful day and Cass captured every aspect perfectly despite the heavens opening during the ceremony. She made great use of the beautiful surroundings at Eyam Hall and has managed to produce some lovely, creative photographs that didn’t look like we were in the midst of a late July monsoon! The most difficult thing has been narrowing down our favourites for the album.
Both me and my husband are a bit awkward in front of the camera but Cass made us feel very relaxed and she created some wonderful photographs that really do encapsulate our relationship and the perfect day we had.
Out of every service we hired for the wedding, the one that all of our family and friends have commented on is Cass. Everyone agreed that she felt more like a guest at the wedding than a photographer and once we’d received our wedding photos a lot of the guests commented on her ninja-like skills of capturing candid moments without anyone realising.
We would definitely recommend Cass to anyone looking for a friendly and highly skilled photographer who would be a great addition to any wedding or event.

Had a 1-2-1 photography lesson with Cass a few weeks ago and just wanted to say how much I enjoyed it!
I'm such a novice, but wanted to learn more about both photography and how to use my camera. Cass was fantastic and patient with me, and I left the session feeling a lot more confident in using my camera - even in manual mode. I would certainly recommend Cass for anyone else wanting to get into photography, I'm sure she'd be great at all levels.
The session was very comfortable and she answered all questions in great detail. I've been back to her with more questions after and she's been more than helpful.
