Awful company. My Mum paid £70 in advance online for the spa in Malmaison Birmingham. When she arrived, she was refused any spa treatments because she has had chemotherapy in the last 5 years. She was only asked this question when she arrived at the spa. Customer service have refused to refund, telling her that she should have read the website terms and conditions linked to in the footer! As if any normal person does that. I contacted Jason Goldberg, one of the Directors, who said he’d investigate and get back to me in 24 hours. He’s since totally ignored 2 polite follow up emails. The company have such a lack of self awareness that they list Cancer Research as the charity they support. How about not ripping off cancer patients - or at least making it clear to any recent sufferers that (I) actually you won’t be able to have any treatments and (ii) you won’t admit any responsibility or offer any refunds? Steer clear.

Booked a spa break through these guys on the 25th October and they took payment immediately for the weekend booked, two days later they informed me that I couldn't have the break away due to the hotel being fully booked, despite it saying there was availability on spar seekers site. I was told by an advisor that they would not be able to find something similar so my money would be refunded. I waited and checked my banking app but no money appeared. I called back later on the Friday to see where the refund was. I was asked by a different advisor why I wanted a refund so explained. She said they couldn't refund the money as it was in a pending account with the bank, although my app said otherwise, and would take until Tuesday before I got it. This lady was a little more helpful and took the time to here what I wanted and said she would see if she could find a similar package for me and I said I would have a look too. She said she would call on Saturday morning to give me some options. I waited until around 11 o'clock and rang them as I had found another similar break for a similar price. As it was through the hotel directly she could not offer the same deal. I asked her to carry on with the refund and explained what the other advisor explained about it being pending. She said that wasn't correct and that I should get the money sooner which I agreed with as it shows the money had gone to them on the banking app and was not in a pending status at all. Anyways, it's Tuesday, I still don't have my money, nearly a week after the booking was made. Took in a second and after their error a week to return with different stories depending on who I was talking too. I work in customer service. I wouldn't expect one of my customers to wait that long for their money back after my company made an error. I would also apologise for the inconvenience and the mix up rather than being brash.

Warning Do not book package without first checking availability with the venue. To fulfil the booking, you will be offered another package, an alternative venue or availability on a different date or vouchers of the equivalent value that are valid for 10 months. Should have been going to the Spa at St Pierre today with my Mum when I unexpectedly found myself with two days off work this week only to find St Pierre are unable to honour the booking made for 'Time for Two Spa Day'.

Truly awful company. Low quality spas on offer, poor customer service and inadequate management.
