Testimonials

Magda and I had a perfect wedding at a perfect venue. Paulina and the chef were incredibly helpful when we chose our menu and were even better on the day. The professionalism, skill and flexibility were second to none! We wish we could do it all over again!

We had our wedding at Ironmongers Hall in September 2012. Our ceremony was in the spectacular main hall and we then moved to a canape reception in the adjacent drawing room. It is a thoroughly impressive venue, the walk in up the staircase and through to the grand main hall was a great welcome for our guests (or via the lift in my Grandmother's case!). The communication in advance and on the day was spot on. Ed, Paulina and Christina were so unfailingly helpful and organised, it really took a lot of pressure off of us, we had complete confidence that everything was under control. They also helped us to incorporate some personal touches, such as our friend being allowed to play the rather special old grand piano in the main hall during the ceremony. The catering team who ran our canape reception were also superb' the service on the day was impeccable. And as for the canapes it would have been worth it for those alone. We had a tasting in advance with the very helpful chef and I dare say the hardest thing about having our wedding in the Hall was narrowing our choices down to a final selection (still thinking about the mini beef wellington and vichyssoise verrine)!! While the reception was underway, we had a few family pictures in the first floor landing area in front of the fireplace, and then we managed to squeeze our 90 guests on the staircase for some group shots. After Ironmongers we went on to our main meal and reception in Paternoster Square, which is just a short walk away. My husband and I slipped out a little earlier and made the most of the excellent location with photos on the steps of St Pauls, walking over Millennium Bridge and at the front of the Tate Modern, all in walking distance. So many of our guests have commented on what an amazing venue the Hall was for a wedding. I am sure that guests always say that, but in this case we firmly believe them!

Gareth and I held our wedding (civil partnership) at Ironmongers' Hall on 30 March 2013. We had 113 guests for a ceremony, drinks reception and sit down meal followed by dancing to a live ceilidh band. The day was perfect and this is all due to the the staff at Ironmongers' being completely on the ball and making the day flow so well. The venue is amazing and the food fantastic. To put into context the sheer ability of the staff at Ironmongers' we arranged all of this from Hong Kong where we live.

A very special wedding day at Ironmongers' Hall! Wonderful lunch and attentive service in beautiful setting. Many thanks to the staff for all their care and consideration.
